United, fell behind to a Bojan Krkic goal after a poor defensive header from Memphis Depay, and Marko Arnautovic added a second soon afterward with a fierce strike following a free kick.
United had a chance to reduce the deficit when Wayne Rooney, who replaced Memphis Depay at the break, set up Marouane Fellaini, but his shot was tame and Stoke finished the game by 2 - 0 and take all 3 points
Manchester United manager, Louis van Gaal might have hinted at resigning his duty as the clubs Manager following his today's 2 - 0 loss to Stoke City.
Speaking with reporters after the match, the Manchester Utd boss said, “We have lost a fourth game, so we have to wait and see,” he said.
“The club doesn’t have to fire or sack me — sometimes I do it by myself.”
