Manchester United agree deal to bring Schweinsteiger to Old Trafford
Bayern Munich midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger has agreed to join Manchester United on a three-year contract worth £7.2m a year, according to reports in Germany.
Schweinsteiger, who has a year remaining on his Bayern contract, has been heavily linked with a move to Louis van Gaal’s side this summer.
And German daily BILD has revealed that the World Cup winner has told the Bayern that he has agreed a deal with United, and is on standby to fly to England to complete the formalities of a medical and signing the papers.
The German, who played under the United manager at Bayern between 2009 and 2011, has been with the Bundesliga champions his entire career, making over 500 appearances for the Bavarians.
Accoeding to Manchester Evening News, The fee for Germany international Schweinsteiger is believed to be about £5.75m
