Everton have signed Man Utd midfielder Tom Cleverley on a five-year deal.

 Everton have confirmed the signing of Manchester United's player Tom Cleverley.

Cleverley, who is now  25-year-old has agreed to a five-year-deal to play at  Goodison Park, for the next season effective of the end of his Manchester United contract on 1st July 2015

Tom Cleverley spent his last season on loan at Aston Villa but turned down the chance to stay there in favor of working under Roberto Martinez

Everton boss, Roberto Martinez worked with Cleverley when the pair were both at Wigan during the 2010-11 season

Aston Villa coach, Tim Sherwood had hoped to make the move for Clevery  permanent but the player didn't want to stay and made a decision to move for Everton instead.

"We are extremely delighted to be welcoming Tom and I can think of many reasons as to why our fans will enjoy Tom representing our football club.

'The most important one is that he is a perfect fit for what we are trying to build here as he has so much experience of playing in the Premier League and he still has his best years just ahead of him." - Martinez told Everton's official website
