AFCON 2015: Congo hold Equatorial Guinea to 1-1 draw

AFCON 2015 kicked off in Bata, Equatorial Guinea on Saturday, as the hosts held Congo to a 1-1 draw in the tournament's first match.

The 2015 AFCON Hosts, Equatorial Guinea were held to a 1-1 draw  by their opponents, Congo on match day one played on Saturday 17th.

Equatorial Guinea opened the score in the first 16 minutes of the game and held on until the second half when Congolese player Thievy Bifouma equalised for the Red Devils

A superb brilliance pass from Kike with a perfectly crafted through ball in the 16th minute found Emilio Nsue who put a low drive shot past goalkeeper Chris Mafoumbi to put Equatorial Guinea 1-0 up.

Congo's goal came from a converted kick which made Thievy to score the equaliser.
As for the next game, Equatorial Guinea will face Burkina Faso, while Congo will take on Gabon.
