Tuesday, 15th July 2014 - German national team arrived at Berlin's Airport and receives a heroes welcome as thousands of fans line the streets.



The German national team won their fourth World Cup title after beating Argentina 1-0 in the final which took place at the Maracana stadium on Sunday 13th of July

As they arrived at home today they were received with a heroic welcome with thousands of fans lining the streets.




Their plane arrived at Berlin Airport this morning and the crowd of fans were already there to welcome their heroes back home with the trophy



Captain Philipp Lahm led the team off the aircraft with the trophy held aloft, to cheers and a chorus of 'Football's Coming Home' from fans on the airport's viewing terrace.

He was followed by midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger, draped in a German flag and sporting a bandage under his right eye, the result of a cut in the 1-0 win over Argentina in the final on Sunday.
