Vidal Secures First Leg Victory For Bayern

Bayern Munich secured their first leg victory over Benfica in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final match after beating Benfica by 1 - 0 at Allians Arena.

It took the German champions all of 90 seconds to get ahead in the tie, with Arturo Vidal connecting to a Juan Bernat cross for his first Champions League goal of the season.

Benfica fought back despite the early setback and tried to get what would have been a vital away goal in the fixture, but there were no more goals in the game.

Both sides had numerous chances to score however, with Jonas and Thomas Muller forcing saves from Manuel Neuer and Ederson respectively.
