Ne-Yo to Work with East African Artists

Shaffer Chimere Smith, better known by his stage name Ne-Yo, is an American R&B singer, songwriter, record producer, dancer and actor. Ne-Yo has been reported to visit Kenya and he is expected to be working with artists who are doing well in East Africa.

The news of Ne-Yo’s coming to Kenya was kept a secret for some time now, but its not a secret any more as the Music and Entertainment Publicist for Coke Studio Africa, Anyiko Owoko have already confirmed the news via Instagram

Neyo will be making & performing original music, together with African stars picked from Kenya, Tanzania, Mozambique, Nigeria and Uganda!


Probably Tanzania will be presented by either Diamond Platnumz, Ali Kiba or Vannesa Mdee

Ne-Yo gained fame for his songwriting abilities when he penned the 2004 hit “Let Me Love You" for singer Mario. Since then he got signed to Def Jam and went ahead to make major hits like ‘Miss Independent’.
