The death of Mzee Ojwang (Father of Comedy in East Africa) is a big blow to the acting industry in Kenya and beyond. He was one of the pioneers of comedy and acting in Kenya and East Africa.

President Uhuru Kenyatta and other Kenyans mourn the fallen hero,  Not only kenyas but also Tanzania’s all time top singer Diamond Platnumz has joined the country in mourning and celebrating a man considered the greatest actor of all time in Kenya.

Vitimbi was everyone’s favourite TV programme when Mzee Ojwang and Mama Kayai were on screen. Everyone would spare their time to watch them.

Through one of his social media accounts, Diamond has paid tribute to Mzee Ojwang, saying that his legacy will always linger on amidst us.

Everybody has described the impact the actor had on their lives in one way or the other as they grew up.

President Uhuru said he was Mzee Ojwang’s fan ever since he was a youngster.
