Lionel Messi sets a new scoring record with  400th Barcelona goal

Argentine striker, Lionel Messi yesterday, Saturday, April 18, 2015, scored his 400th goal for his club Barcelona in 471 appearances.

This is coming barely one week after Cristiano Ronaldo was presented with a special shirt for scoring 300 goals in just 288 appearances for Real Madrid.

Messi, 4-time World Player of the Year, achieved the landmark by scoring against Valencia in the 2 – 0 victory at the Nou Camp.

The Former Liverpool striker, Luis Suarez, who has been in an impressive form since arriving in Spain, scored the first goal in the first minute and Messi added his in stoppage time to make sure Barcelona takes all three points.
