Schalke Thank Chelsea on Twitter For Beating Sporting Lisbon In Champions League

Schalke have taken to Twitter to thank Chelsea after the Premier League side defeated Sporting Lisbon to a 3-1 win at Stamford Bridge to conclude their Champions League group stage campaign with their unbeaten record intact.

The win helped handing the Germans a spot in the final 16 of the Champions League .


Schalke had to defeat Maribor and rely on Sporting Lisbon to lose against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Cesc Fabregas, Andre Schurrle and John Obi Mikel helped the Jose Mourinho’s side to a 3-1 win, handing the Bundesliga side a place in the knockout stages.
