The Resident Magistrate's Court "Kisutu" restrains DAVIDO from Performing at Serengeti Fiesta 2014 Festival

Resident Magistrate's Court "Kisutu" Dar es salaam, restrained an artist from Nigeria, Adedeji Adelek popularly known as 'Davido' to Perform at Fiesta concert organized by Prime times Promotions and Clouds Fm, October 18,2014, pending the hearing and final determination of the Main suit filed by Times Radio FM and Times Promotions and Entertainment Ltd.

The decree was issued yesterday (October 17) by the resident magistrate's court "Kisutu" judge, Honorable Judge D. Kisoka following an emergency application filed in court by Times Fm Radio and Times Fm Promotion.

Times Fm Radio and Times Fm Promotion sent requests for emergency court when they asked the court to prevent Davido from performing at the Fiesta festival, despite BASATA (National Arts Council) refusal to issue a permit to the artist due to the reasons  that they had already given permit to Davido to perform in November 1 in a concert organized by Times Fm Radio and Times Fm Promotion.

Clouds Fm and Prime Times Promotion continued their Promotions and procedures regardless of the withholding of BASATA.

Times Fm Radio and Times Fm Promotion appealed to the court to endorse their claims against  Clouds Fm, Prime Promotion and HKN Music the company that represents Davido.

These claims include compensation expense and other inconveniences which were caused by the respondent as the Court may deem appropriate.

The Court has ordered that the artist "Davido" not to perform at the October 18,2014 event until the trial solutions become available in court.

Initially, Davido was heard in Times Fm Radio broadcasts, noting that he will come to Tanzania on November 1st for a performance organized by the radio station named 'The Climax'.
