Tanzanian representatives in the AFRIMA Awards (African Muzik Magazine Awards 2014), Lady Jay Dee and Diamond Platinumz have won the Awards after beating their competitors in their categories.

Lady Jay Dee  was nominated in the category  "Best Female East Africa 2014" and Diamond Platinumz in the two category "Best Male East Africa 2014"and "Best Collaboration 2014"

- Diamond Platnumz won the - Best Male East Africa 2014

The Award ceremony was conducted on July 26, at Eisemann Center Richardson, Texas.



Diamond Platnumz has something to say to his fans after winning the award, and this is what he said on his official Instagram page

“First of all napenda nimshkuru sana Mwenyez mungu, Mama, Family, My management, kipenzi changu, Media, bila kuwasahau nyinyi mashabiki zangu pendwa kwani sikuzote mmekuwa mkinisupport bega kwa bega kwenye shida na raha…Niwashkuru pia Wasanii wenzangu toka nje na ndani ya Tanzania kwani naamini changamoto tunazopeana ndio zimefanya hadi sasa mziki wetu ufikie hapa…hakika tunzo hizi si zangu bali ni za Muziki wa Bongo flavour… Mwisho kabisa nimshkuru Mh Rais Jakaya Mrisho kikwete kwa mchango wake wa kila siku katika sanaa yetu!… Mr President your Son Did it!!!!! #MdogoMdogo”.
